Today, real-time systems are embedded in a wide range of devices :

consumer electronics, cars, wearable devices, sensor nodes, etc. Although research is very active for designing very low power platforms, the amount of energy that must be available on board still limits the lifespan of embedded systems and prevent their miniaturization. Alternative energy sources present in our environment could be exploited to achieve perpetual functioning without replacing or recharging batteries : this is energy harvesting. Building battery-operated or energy harvesting real-time systems faces many challenges due to timing constraints and energy limitations. In particular, we have to introduce energy-aware scheduling strategies that not only could improve real-time performance but also make a better utilization of energy.

Ces journées, organisées dans le but de confondre les communautés roboticiennes et automaticiennes sur les plans recherche et enseignement, s’adressent à tous les acteurs de la Robotique et de l’automatique, chercheurs et doctorants, industriels et utilisateurs.

Cette première édition 2012 couvrira de nombreuses thématiques, parmi lesquelles on trouve la Modélisation en robotique, l’Estimation et l’observation, la Commande prédictive et adaptative, la Commande non linéaire et robuste, les Systèmes et structures, les Systèmes hybrides, et les Initiatives nationales en pédagogie pour la robotique.

Les 21 et 22 Novembre 2011 prochains, le Pôle régional "Evaluation et Contrôle Non Destructifs en Pays de la Loire" (ECND-PdL) organise un Colloque International à l’IRCCyN sur l’Evaluation et le Contrôle Non Destructif où d’éminents chercheurs, étrangers et nationaux viendront exposer leurs travaux sur le thème :

Autonomous driving and navigation is a major research issue which would affect our lives in near future. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss topics related to the challenging problems of autonomous navigation and of driving assistance in open and dynamic environments. Technologies related to application fields such as unmanned outdoor vehicles or intelligent road vehicles will be considered from both the theoretical and technological point of views. Several research questions located on the cutting edge of the state of the art will be addressed. Among the many application areas that robotics is addressing, transportation of people and goods seem to be a domain that will dramatically benefit from intelligent automation. Fully automatic driving is emerging as the approach to dramatically improve efficiency while at the same time leading to the goal of zero fatalities. Theses new technologies can be applied efficiently for other application field such as unmanned vehicles, mobile service robots, or mobile devices for motion assistance to elderly or disable peoples. Technologies related to this area, such as autonomous outdoor vehicles, achievements, challenges and open questions would be presented.

Les Journées Nationales de la Robotique sont organisées tous les 2 ans depuis 1999. Elles font le point sur les dernières avancées dans les principaux domaines de la robotique. Les journées se déroulent en session plénière. Le principe retenu est l’invitation d’orateurs qui présentent un état de l’art et des prospectives sur un sujet donné.

La 21ème Journée des Jeunes Chercheurs en Robotique (JJCR) se déroulera le 18 Octobre 2011 à la Rochelle et sera suivie cette année par les Journées Nationales de la Recherche en Robotique (JNRR2011) qui se tiendront les 19-20-21 Octobre sur le même site.

Cette journée à été crée en 1993 pour que les doctorants de différents laboratoires de robotique puissent présenter et échanger sur leurs travaux de recherche. Après une pause de cinq années, la JJCR a fait son retour en 2009 et est depuis organisée tous les ans avant les JNRR ou les Journée Nationales du GDR Robotique (Groupe De Recherche en Robotique) qui sont quant à eux des évènements bisannuels.

Organisée sur le plan scientifique par des doctorants, cette journée doit être vue par chacun d’entre vous comme une opportunité de faire connaître son travail auprès de la communauté et de rencontrer d’autres doctorants travaillant sur le même thème (futures collaborations possibles, ou même simplement diffusion de son travail).

The purpose of the conference is to share ideas, experiences and informations among academic researchers, developers and service providers in the field of real-time systems and networks. RNTS 2010 is the 19th edition of the conference formerly known as RTS (Real-Time Systems, Paris). The 12 first editions of RTS were french-speaking events held in Paris in conjunction with the RTS Embedded System exhibition. Since its 13th edition, the conference language of RTNS is english.

The general 20th CIRP Design conference topic has been decided as "Global Product Development". Everyone knows today about the importance of analysing, simulating and evaluating the impact of early decisions on the future steps of the lifecycle of products. "Global Product Development" is a key topic that should help designers and also manufacturers and more widely decision makers about the main choices related to the whole lifecycle of products. This is a real challenge for the future. This conference will let exchange about these important topics between both academic and industrial attendees. Several aspects will be considered, concepts, methods, methodologies, tools, applications. All theses kinds of contributions are very welcome.
