About the group
The «Psychology, Cognition, Technology» group specializes in experimental and ergonomic psychology. In particular, it focuses on the human operator within human-machine systems. Our work is carried out in collaboration with the field of engineering sciences using a multidisciplinary approach. The group’s objective is to model sensorimotor control and cognition in humans, and also to study human-machine cooperation and cooperation between humans. We investigate situations and tasks that involve perceptual and motor processes, such as vehicle control and gesture guidance, as well as higher-level cognitive processes, including decision-making and risk management. Dynamic situations that are characterized by transient perturbations and hazards are particularly relevant to our study of these processes and their adaptation.
